Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress best known for her roles in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school and moved into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite financial struggles, she was able get her first significant part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's lead character. The actress was able to secure a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford was the main actor in Lost for its first two seasons. In 2004, she was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award with all of the ensemble. Grace decided to leave the show in order to pursue a professional film work. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) on Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern interpretation from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was Shannon once more in the show's finale episode, as well as two additional episodes. In 2013, she appears in Californianation, the sixth Season. She received a nomination from The Golden Globe Award. She gained wider recognition after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercials she appeared in in 2006.
